كلمة السيد الرئيس/ عبد الفتاح السيسى بمناسبة الاحتفال بالذكرى الـ”42″ لتحرير سيناء: الإسكندرية/فريال مؤمن

شعب مصر العظيم،
أتحدث إليكم اليوم فى ذكرى يوم من أيام مصر المجيدة، الذكرى الثانية والأربعين لتحرير سيناء الحبيبة، تلك البقعة الغالية من أرض مصر المقدسة التى طالما كانت موضعا للاستهداف والعدوان، وطالما نجح شعب مصر العظيم، وفى طليعته القوات المسلحة الباسلة، فى حمايتها وصونها والحفاظ عليها،
جزءاً لا يتجزأ من تراب مصر الطاهر.
شعب مصر الكريم،
إن قصة كفاح المصريين من أجل سيناء هى ملحمة بطولة وفداء، وجلد وتضحية، وإصرار لا يلين على حفظ حقوق هذا الوطن العظيم، وعدم التفريط فى شبر واحد منه، وهو منهج طالما شكل الأسس الراسخة للوطنية المصرية والمحددات الرئيسية للأمن القومى.
إن سيناء التى تحررت بالحرب والدبلوماسية ستظل شاهدة على قوة مصر وشعبها وقواتها المسلحة ومؤسسات دولتها، ورمزاً خالداً على صلابة الشعب المصرى فى دحر المعتدين والغزاة على مر العصور.
وعلى مدار السنوات الماضية تعرضت مصر لاختبار جديد استهدف سيناء، وخضنا حرباً شرسة ضد قوى الإرهاب والشر التى ظنت واهمة أن بمقدور عملياتها الإرهابية إضعاف عزيمتنا، ولكن تحطم الشر على حصون الخير والشرف، وقدم الشعب شهداء أبراراً من أبنائه الكرام فى القوات المسلحة والشرطة المدنية ليدفعوا بدمائهم الغالية ثمن حماية سيناء، بل ومصر كلها من الإرهاب والتطرف.
كذلك، فإن التطورات التى شهدها الإقليم خلال الشهور الماضية، والحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة، والموقف المصرى الواضح منذ اللحظة الأولى، الرافض تماماً لأى تهجير للفلسطينيين من أراضيهم إلى سيناء أو إلى أى مكان آخر، حفاظاً على القضية الفلسطينية من التصفية وحمايـة لأمـن مصـر القومــى، وكذلك موقفنا الثابت بالإصرار والعمل المكثف لوقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، ودفع جهود إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة ذات السيادة ليحصل الفلسطينيون على حقوقهم المشروعة، كل هذه تشكل الثوابت الراسخة التى تحرص مصر على العمل فى إطارها بهدف أسمى وهو إرساء السلام والأمن والاستقرار والتنمية فى المنطقة لصالح جميع شعوبها.
وكما كانت الحرب من أجل تحرير سيناء واجباً وطنياً مقدساً، وكذلك كانت الحرب من أجل تطهيرها من الإرهاب، فإن تنمية سيناء وتعميرها هو واجب وطنى مقدس أيضاً، واليوم تشهد سيناء جهوداً غير مسبوقة لتحقيق التنمية الشاملة فى الصحة والتعليم والبنية الأساسية وجميع مقومات العمران والصناعة والزراعة، فى إطار مشروع قومى ضخم يستحق أن يقدم المصريون التضحيات اللازمة من أجل تنفيذه، حماية وصوناً لأمن وسلامة الوطن كله.
شعب مصر العظيم،
لا يوجد فى الختام ما هو أشرف من تقديم التحية والاحترام لمن كانت تضحياتهم سبباً فى بقاء وصمود هذا الوطن، وكانت دماؤهم الزكية نهراً ارتوت منه رمال سيناء، حتى تم تحريرها ثم تطهيرها من الإرهاب.
تحية إعزاز وتقدير لشهداء مصر الأبرار، ذوى الكرم والفداء، وأصحاب المروءة والبطولة، ورمز الكرامة والتضحية.
كل عام وأنتم بخير..
ومصر فى أمان ورفعة وتقدم.

The great people of Egypt,
Today, I am addressing you on the anniversary of one of Egypt’s most glorious days, the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of dear Sinai .. this cherished part of Egypt’s sacrosanct land that has endured periods of hostility and aggression .. the great Egyptian people, spearheaded by their formidable armed forces, have a long history of protecting, defending, and safeguarding this indivisible part of Egypt’s precious soil.
The dignified people of Egypt,
The tale of the Egyptian people’s struggle for Sinai unfolds as a monumental saga of heroism, selflessness and sacrifice, perseverance and resilience, unshakeable commitment to the rights of this great homeland, and boundless resolve not to surrender a single grain of its soil. For generations, this approach has served as the solid foundation for Egyptian patriotism and the principal determinant of national security.
Liberated through war and diplomacy, Sinai will always stand as a testament to the steadfastness of Egypt, its people, its armed forces and its institutions and as an eternal icon for the solidity of the Egyptian people in crushing aggressors and invaders throughout the ages.
Over the past years, Egypt rose to encounter a new challenge targeting Sinai. We engaged in a ferocious war against terrorism and the forces of evil, who were deluded by the notion that their terrorism could undermine our resolve. However, their acts of evil were ultimately shattered on the fortresses of goodness and honor. The Egyptian people bore a heavy burden, offering gracious martyrs from their valiant armed forces and civil police, who spilled their precious blood as a price to shield not just Sinai, but all of Egypt, against the encroaching darkness of terror and extremism.
Tragic developments have been unfolding in the region over the past months, primarily the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. In the face of these devastating hostilities, Egypt has adopted a clear and firm stance categorically rejecting any coerced displacement of the Palestinians from their land into Sinai or any other place in order to protect the Palestinian cause from liquidation and to defend Egypt’s national security; Egypt has definitively stated its steadfast position and exerted unyielding efforts toward reaching an immediate and urgent ceasefire and ensuring access for humanitarian aid into the sector; Egypt has undertaken persistent endeavors to push for the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian State and for the Palestinians to regain their legitimate rights. These stances are grounded in the solid and unequivocal determinants which Egypt has embraced since the outbreak of the war and that serve as the basis of its actions, with an ultimate aim of establishing peace, security, stability and development in the region for the good of its peoples.
Just as the war for the liberation of Sinai was a sacred national duty, as was purging it from terrorism, the development of Sinai is also a sacred and national duty. Today, Sinai is witnessing unprecedented efforts to achieve comprehensive development in health, education, infrastructure and all elements of urbanization, industry and agriculture as part of a massive national project, which is worthy of the Egyptian people’s sacrifices to safeguard and defend the security and well-being of the entire homeland.
The great people of Egypt,
There is nothing more honorable than concluding by offering deepest respect and gratitude to those whose sacrifices have secured the survival and enduring strength of this homeland. Their precious blood was the river, nourishing the sands of Sinai until it was liberated and purged from terrorism.
A salutation and appreciation to Egypt’s righteous martyrs, the embodiment of generosity, selflessness, bravery and heroism, and the icons of dignity and sacrifice.
