وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس عقد جلسة مباحثات مع أخيه الشيخ تميم بن حمد، شهدت الإشادة بالتطور المستمر في العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، واتفق الزعيمان على مواصلة تفعيل مختلف أطر التعاون وآليات التشاور والتنسيق على كافة المستويات بين البلدين.
كما ناقش اللقاء ناقش التصعيد العسكري الإسرائيلي في قطاع غزة، وما يرتبط به من تحديات إقليمية، تدفع بالمنطقة في اتجاهات خطيرة وغير محسوبة. وفي ذلك السياق بحث الزعيمان أفضل السبل لحماية المدنيين الأبرياء في غزة، ووقف نزيف الدم، حيث تم استعراض الجهود المكثفة الرامية لتحقيق وقف لإطلاق النار، واستدامة نفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية بالكميات التي تلبي احتياجات الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة، كما تم تأكيد رفض أية محاولات لتصفية القضية الفلسطينية على حساب الشعب الفلسطيني أو دول المنطقة، ورفض محاولات التهجير القسري.
واختتم المتحدث باسم رئاسة الجمهورية تصريحاته بالإشارة إلى أن الجانبين أكدا استمرار التشاور من أجل وقف التصعيد الراهن للحد من معاناة المدنيين وحقناً لدماء الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق، وصولاً إلى إقامة دولته المستقلة وفقاً لمرجعيات الشرعية الدولية وتحقيق السلام العادل في المنطقة.

The meeting also discussed the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip, and the subsequent regional challenges that push the region in dangerous and uncalculated directions. The two leaders discussed the best ways to protect innocent civilians in Gaza and to stop the bloodshed. They reviewed the intensive efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire and sustaining the delivery of humanitarian aid in quantities that meet the needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza. They confirmed rejection of any attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue at the expense of the Palestinian people or the countries of the region as well as attempts at forced displacement.
The two sides confirmed continuing consultations in order to stop the current escalation in order to reduce the suffering of civilians and stop the bloodshed of the brotherly Palestinian people, leading to the establishment of their independent state, in accordance with the international legitimacy references, and the achievement of just peace in the region.
